Why Kaleidoscope?
ka·lei·do·scope (noun) – a circle of mirrors containing loose, colored objects such as beads or pebbles and bits of glass, as the viewer looks into one end, the light entering the other end creates a colorful pattern, due to the reflection off the mirrors; derived from Ancient Greek words meaning “observer of beautiful forms”
Kaleidoscope is an initiative that was created to empower cancer survivors and their loved ones to celebrate cancer survivorship each and every day. Those that are touched by cancer each have a colorful and unique experience, which is difficult to embody through one shape or color. The compilation of beautiful shapes and colors of a kaleidoscope is representative of each person’s unique connection to cancer and survivorship. Through Kaleidoscope, cancer survivors and their loved ones are encouraged to celebrate life in living color.
The Mission
The Kaleidoscope mission is to provide cancer survivors with inspiration, information, and resources to help them thrive, live life to its fullest, and feel empowered as they navigate their journey of survivorship.
